The Chelsea Citizen is aghast at Transport for London’s plan to scrap the No,19 bus route between Battersea Bridge and Hyde park.

We think that it s a terrible idea – for residents of Chelsea, its businesses, and for its visitors. You may disagree and love it.

This is a primary call to action to galvanise opposition locally to this plan and to tell TFL where to get OFF.

Extensive details will follow on this story here in the coming days, but this is your first head’s up on the issue.

The consultation runs until 23rd January, but precious time to submit your views to TFL will be lost in the head fog of mulled wine and turkey during the Christmas period. We urge you to prepare your comments and lodge them as soon as possible. Maybe you need to prepare your SUPPORT, so you can make sure Chelsea is cut adrift from the bus network into Knightsbridge, the West End and beyond. We love Finsbury Park at TCC. In fact, we saw The Jam at The Rainbow there in 1976…although one rarely visits there these days.
