A masked gang on mopeds wielding weapons – including a machete – robbed a luxury jewellery shop on the ground floor level of One Knightsbridge in broad daylight yesterday.
The attack on the Rolex shop happened at 10.53am on Tuesday 20th January. Part of the raid was captured on phone video, which showed two members of the public attempting to thwart the raid.
The footage shows one of the robbers viciously swinging a two foot long blade at the brave have-a-go-heroes. One man was seen waving an object in self-defence, but both men were forced to back off. The attacker then ran to rejoin his fellow gang members who were taking part in the robbery.
In another reel of footage, one of the motorbikes used in the raid is seen abandoned inside the shop.
Police have appealed for eye witnesses to come forward and for any other video footage to be provided to them
